Family History

The Old Weir Lodge is a family business, run for the last 20 years by the O’Donoghue family.

Maureen and Dermot have been welcoming tourists to Killarney for over 50 years and are descended from a long line of boatmen, tour operators, hoteliers and bar owners.

In recent years, their sons and daughter are all involved in the family business and they hope to provide the typical Irish welcome and attention to detail that will ensure your stay is a memorable one.
